A Lucky Duck...

Okay.... Hello to the one or two people who might read this pure crap that I call a blog. It seems I havent posted since the 5th of May (what a bastard huh?) and need to catch up on some things. Well I have been back in Seattle for the summer, and loving it. No place like home right? Its good to have a solid home that doesnt change each day, and a place to actually cook my meals.... by cooking, I mean place a bag of frozen veggies in the micro and throwing a piece of chicken in the skillet to grill.... or theres Guaymas. I am right now employed at yes, its epic, Ride The Ducks. Truthfully I was pretty stoked to get this job and for the first two months it was good. Unfortunately, this job is ridiculously repetitive with the same EXACT questions and exact responses each day and it takes its toll. It has been a decent job, but i hope to never do it again.... and no, I dont drive the duck...
Overall, I declared the beginning of this summer,"The Summer of Matt" (Seinfeld?) and even though I have just a bit more summer left, I would say I am on the right path to making the title true. Between golfing, softball, the boat, concerts, some weekend trips, relaxing, and finishing it all off with a 2 1/2 week trip to Costa Rica, this summer has been great....and here comes the traveling...
I am heading back out on the road starting October 18th. I train the week before that and meet all the new returning PMs and get filled in on what qualifications have changed in each state (mindless boring dribble) so that these teachers can get there CEUs. I want to copy and paste my schedule on this site, but I dont really know how to yet. Ill figure it out and let you guys see whats gonna be coming up. I can tell you I begin in Chicago, Detroit, Cinci-crappi (clever huh?), and Columbus, OH.
As in the past year, I will be going to places featured on the travel and food channel. I usually like to try out an Anthony Bourdaine: No Reservations restaurant, or an Extreme Eats location. This year, I am looking to find Man vs Food eateries. I might even try some of the challenges... Enoch might appreciate that... I dont think he reads this though.... whateva. I have a few stayovers for the first half of my traveling and they are, San Antonio, TX for the WSU vs Notre Dame game over Halloween weekend, Washington D.C. to visit Bleek and see some of the capital, and Portland, Maine for some lobster and east coast browsing. I am traveling to some places I haven't been before like Roanoke, VA and Memphis, TN to name a few and look forward to the new experience. I will also be traveling to some familiar places, Boston, Long Island, Phoenix, and Chicago and cant wait to experience them again.
At the beginning of October, I have to turn in my choices for where I wanna go from January to May. Once I get my finalized schedule for that period, I will post it, and you guys can glance at it. If anybody sees a weekend where I am in saaayyyyy Denver, CO (Megan) and they want to meet me there for a weekend, let me know so I can schedule it. Also if youre going to Portland for just the weekend, I dont necessarily have to be there for my last day of work, I can just fly into there instead of going to Seattle. So if anybody wants a little bit more Matty D in there life, let me know. That update will come soon enough.

Okay well I am typing this blog at the duck (such a great employee) and think some people need some quackers... gun?? anybody gotta gun?? Well I must be going, but I will return with the updates probably after Costa Rica. Hope this year is as interesting as last year and hope you all are a bit more caught up on what Im doing and this blog relieves whatever little monotony might exist in your day...

Deuces from Ride the Ducks....
